Celebration of life

The end of life may be blessed with gratitude for a life fulfilled, rather than a ritual imbued with mourning, creating a wonderfully peaceful and cherished memory for the bereaved to hold in their hearts.

At first thought perhaps this seems out of reach, but, in hindsight, a wonderfully peaceful memory to take away for all bereaved.

I believe that a funeral provides space for those who are left behind to pay tribute to a life lived, to release emotions that come with a loss, and to find continuity in their relationship with the deceased.

There are many ways to make it an uplifting, comforting and meaningful experience. I meet families face to face and will take the time that’s needed to get a sound understanding of your ideas, and who the deceased was as a person.
I provide guidance and support, liaise with funeral directors, crematoria staff and other suppliers to ensure that the funeral service honours your family’s wishes.

I have conducted natural funerals (ocean and forest) as well as traditional ones. I will work with you to create and deliver a funeral ceremony which will capture the essence of the person who has died, with dignity, warmth, honesty and affection.

There is no charge for the funerals of those under 16 years of age.
